Patriotic Party!!

I know that the 4th of July is long over, but I'm sure your guys memories are still fresh in your minds, and my guess is that even if you've started scrapping those pics already, you couldn't be finished by now!! So our goal today is to at least START scrapping those patriotic pictures! So today I have some guidelines for this. Not only do you need to use a patriotic picture, you need to use the colors red, white, and blue, and you also need to have 5 brads on your page. Hope you have fun!

Recipe Challenge!!

Okay everybody!! I'm back and here's a new challenge for today: use the recipe that I give you to create a layout. The recipe is:

- 3 photos
- 5 patterned papers
- 7 brads
- 2 chipboard elements
- at least 50 words of journaling

Let's see what we can create today!! Hopefully later on today, I'll get some entries from the design team and I will edit this post to include them for inspiration. Also, I'm going to be working on my page so keep an eye out for that!

Day 7 - Pretty in Purple

I was just thinking the other day about how people say pretty in pink, while somebody can be pretty in purple too! Purple is a recent favorite color of mine for scrapbooking... even though for other things lime lime green is. Just last night I went to Pat Catans to spend my christmas and birthday money and I made a major investment... a heat embossing tool. I have been looking at those little heat guns for quite a while now and finally chose to go ahead and make the purchase! If any of you have a heat gun and embossing powders, you need to use some heat embossing on your layout. If you don't, use at least 5 brads. Most of your layout should be purple, but you may have less than 4 items that are not purple on your layout!! Go ahead!! Get started!!
